This vehicle is mainly used for chip sealing processes in highway surfaces, bridge waterproofing, and lower sealing layers. It synchronously sprays asphalt binder and spreads aggregates to ensure maximum surface contact between the binder and aggregate, achieving optimal bonding. Equipment Composition and Structural Features

The synchronous gravel spreader mainly consists of the asphalt spraying system, stone spreading system, electrical operation system, and auxiliary machine system.

Asphalt Spraying System:

The spraying system mainly consists of the asphalt tank, heating section, hydraulic section, control section, and spraying section.

  1. Asphalt Tank:
    The outer wall of the tank is made of stainless steel matte plates, with insulation filler in the middle. The interior consists of a heating boiler and thermal oil coils, offering a neat and elegant appearance. The externally added air control valve group ensures the circulation of asphalt in the pipeline, preventing local overheating and aging.
  2. Heating Section:
    The heating device uses imported burners and a high-efficiency boiler. It features high combustion efficiency, good atomization, low fuel consumption, fast heating speed, and stable operation. No manual monitoring is required, ensuring that the asphalt in the pipeline is effectively heated.
  3. Hydraulic Section:
    The hydraulic components (hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor) are from internationally renowned brands, ensuring reliable transmission performance.
  4. Control Section:
    The system uses encoders to accurately detect vehicle speed and asphalt pump speed, ensuring spraying accuracy. Radar, encoders, and main circuit switch components are all imported. Once the spraying amount is set, the PLC automatically calculates vehicle speed and pump speed to achieve automatic control and recommend an optimal vehicle speed to the driver.

    Each nozzle is controlled by a dedicated air valve to open or close, ensuring uniform pressure and excellent spraying results through specially designed pipelines.

Stone Spreading System:

The stone spreading system consists of the material bin, material door control mechanism, and spreader.

  • The material bin is equipped with an internal hidden central top flip shaft, ensuring stable lifting of the bin.
  • The material doors are controlled by 16 routes, using an angle control device that allows precise setting of the material door opening. This design effectively adjusts the spreading uniformity and avoids the traditional uneven spreading of materials.
  • The adjusting range of the divider plate and lower plate is large, making it suitable for different specifications (S5~S25mm) of stone.

Precautions:

  1. Cleaning the Asphalt Pump and Pipeline:
    After each operation or when changing work sites, the asphalt pump and pipeline must be cleaned. Failure to do so will prevent the machine from working properly the next time.
  2. Check Valves Before Spraying:
    Before spraying, ensure all valve positions are correct.
  3. Asphalt Temperature:
    The hot asphalt in the tank must be heated to a working temperature of 160~180℃. Long-distance transport or long working hours may require the use of heating devices, but not as a furnace.
  4. Do Not Overfill the Asphalt Tank:
    The tank should not be overfilled. Ensure the fuel cap is tightly closed to prevent spillage during transport.
  5. Proper Heating of Asphalt:
    The asphalt height must exceed the top surface of the combustion chamber when heating with the burner. Otherwise, the combustion chamber could be damaged.
  6. Avoid Forcing Blocked Asphalt Pump:
    If the asphalt pump or pipeline is blocked by solidified asphalt, do not force the pump. Use a heat gun to thaw it and avoid direct heat on ball valves and rubber parts.
  7. Start Slowly:
    When beginning to spray asphalt, accelerate slowly and keep the vehicle speed low to prevent damage to components like the clutch and asphalt pump.
  8. Control Console Operation:
    The vehicle has front and rear control consoles. The switch must be set to the correct control position, either front or rear, depending on which console is being used. The rear control console can only control the spraying nozzle's lift.
  9. Remove Leftover Asphalt:
    At the end of the day, leftover asphalt must be returned to the asphalt pool, or it will solidify in the tank and make future use impossible. If the vehicle or equipment fails and cannot be repaired within a short time, all the asphalt must be drained from the tank.
